Daumenfrosch: The thumb that stayed up!

Daumenfrosch: The thumb that stayed up!

Daumenfrosch: The thumb that stayed up!

I guess starting at the beginning is the best thing to do. This is not financial advice; this is just my story. Let me take you back one month to when the state of Solana looked like every developer was leaving every piece of shit coin not flushed in the toilet of the community.

I was watching live token pairs on the Trojan bot when I saw a word I had never seen before go live: ‘Daumenfrosch.’ It was not English, so it stirred my curiosity. What was this ‘Daumen,’ and what made it ‘frosch’? I went to Google, and upon researching, found it was an old 4chan meme.

So without hesitation, my instincts from 2 years of the bear market kicked in, and I blindly aped at a 15k market cap. Thereafter, I checked the Telegram and chart to listen in to a VC. Within 20 seconds, the dev cancelled the call, snipers sold, and the dev sold their tokens. We were now at a 5k market cap. Alas, I was rugged again.

There were about 5 people content in making a community takeover milling around in chat. This was the 4th community takeover I had done in 1 week, but for some reason, the Daumen eyes spoke to me. They spoke a mysterious language that sounded aggressively beautiful. They spoke of dreams I had once seen, dreams of billions, dreams that prove it’s possible to come from nothing and with the right community, that nothing becomes everything.

I snapped back to reality after staring out my window, and the market cap was now 2.3k. Fuck.

I made the decision to put together a placeholder website and get to work with the original core team. The rest is history. I could go in-depth about the people we started with, the journey we went on, the influencers we onboarded, the art that was created, the two people who got tattoos in the first week, the laughter, the euphoria, the fear that gripped everyone when we had corrections. I could talk about the raids, the infinite memes, the telegram unlike any other, I could talk about the inside jokes and the internal conflicts of trying to manage a decentralised ecosystem and how people love to abuse it.

I could talk about the people who sold early from the team and then created their own presales to scam us, I could talk about the derivatives that stole our art and had blue-chip Solana tokens endorse them and not us, I could talk about the people who believed and stopped believing then sold without respecting the chart, I could talk about the selfless whales that held the floor against the sell pressure, the people who sold for 10x, 20x, 30x, 100x, 1000x, I could talk about the people who have round-tripped 2000+ x and have continued holding because they now understand where they are, the community that has built them, the future that could exist.

Why do I share this story? Because this has been the single most enlightening crypto experience I have ever had. Maybe you have not had the chance to watch your money increase 2500x before; maybe it seems like a lottery. Ironically, it is not. It has been work. It has been stressful and it is nowhere near being over.

The number of people I have muted and banned from the Telegram who have fudded every dip on the way up, the number of people I watched choose money over community, the number of people I have made a connection with that will last longer than any meme coin could exist.

Daumenfrosch has only been around for 1 month and has never once paid for anything, no paid trending, no influencers, no marketing campaigns. There has only ever been donations to content creators from our community, Daumenfrosch is the epitome of a real community takeover.

As early buyers rotate out and we have our first real correction, I pose this question, do you believe in community? In the upcoming bull market that will most certainly be dominated by Solana, do you believe in a 2500x? Do you believe that in this p2p industry that there is an exception to the rule, that a little German thumb frog left abandoned by its developer can become the story of the greatest comeback ever made?

The irony is it is up to the community. I have invested in multiple other coins in the past month, and people think I am the catalyst for making Daumenfrosch reach its ATH from its bottom, this is so far from the truth.

I am but a facet on the diamond we call community; it does not take one person to make a coin go far, it takes a whole community of people believing together. Daumenfrosch is a vehicle with an infinite amount of seats. I have never seen a cult form so tightly around something so stupid.

As one community disbands and early sellers depart, I ask you anon, do you see the opportunity presenting itself? are you ready for the next leg? And how high do you see us going?
